Good Morning my Friends,
How’s your energy this time of the year affecting you? Don’t let the world push you into sleepwalking. The whole world and all its systems are being shaken. We are living in a time of tremendous shift where all our foundations are being shaken. Yep, It’s time to change.
I was awakened this morning and walked out into the cold, gazing up at the moon and into the heavens above, feeling the energy and the possibilities to awaken deeper and fuller. It’s that time of the year.
Simplify To Amplify
I’m in a season of simplifying and I hope you’ll join me.
I’ve done Benedictine and Franciscan Formation and a boatload of other spiritual disciplines. I prayed the Daily Office for 5 years straight and it led me into Christian Mysticism, while it usually institutionalizes most people into the religious system in dualistic consciousness.
I can spend all day in spiritual practice and watch the sun going down and I haven’t started my day yet like today, it’s 2 PM and I started this at 5 AM.
We’re all in a ‘computer in the hand’ rat race. So turn off those news notifications and anything else that distracts you. Don’t be driven down the road of distraction into unconsciousness. Act don’t react.
We lived on a hundred-acre farm with our five children three were homebirths, so we decided to put up the TV, and radio and just enjoyed living out on the farm for years. One morning as I went into the bathroom and sat down, I picked up a newspaper and started reading. I was shocked and amazed at what all was going on, and walked out to tell my wife, then I noticed the paper was a year old.
Yep, we’re in a system algorithm of news, and like Pavlov’s dog, we’re jumping at notification, after notification.
Here are some suggestions to try out or simplify.
HOW TO BEGIN YOUR DAY
Begin your day in State, otherwise, you’ll be playing catch-up all day.
Cultivate the State of Presence.
Do a little Yoga, Walk, Cold Plunge, Breathwork, Qigong, or Stretching, to make your body supple for a better life as you age. Experiment to find out what works best for you at your age. Remember: Change is the constant.
And get out a little with the morning sun on your face, it sets your circadian sleep rhythm among other things.
TOOLS YOU CAN USE:
Sadhguru’s Free App has some good simple yoga moves, plus a lifestyle of yoga, so don’t get lost. The daily inspirations are awesome but stay in State.
The idea is not to become better human beings but to become more Human and Life-giving by becoming more conscious.
What practices move you into experiencing transcendence?
Notice: I used Spiritual Practices without a religious context. The reason is, that it takes longer, but you can add it if you like. The idea here is to simplify to amplify our lifeforce.

Like many people this season, I feel gaga from the deadly conflicts and unthinkable atrocities causing extreme suffering for millions. To pray for the suffering innocents, I must first delete clutter and chatter from my mind and equally important create a simpler personal environment to open a clear channel for my prayers to flow. Thank you Bob for this inspired reflection.
