Advent is the season of liminal space where we are called into the in-between, into this sacred space of change and transformation. The Liminal Space of Thresholds Advent is a pilgrimage of the heart where we kiss the earth so that we might see into the greatest of mysteries, to gaze into the Eternal in the eyes of a child. "In the universe, there are things that are known, and there are things that are unknown, and in between them there are doors." ~ William Blake Of Giving & Holding Space We all need to consciously spend time at the thresholds of our lives, and we need wise elders to create and hold such spaces for us. ~ Richard Rohr Let us release ourselves from our body, holding us to a past we can't change, Let us release ourselves from our mind drawing our attention to a future we can't control, So Let us inhabit our Presence in this liminal space between... As Christ we companion each other in the Divine Let us give and hold space for each other there on the threshold of transcendence and change in the thin places of the earth and heaven. Let our Presence be for each other light and life, breath and spirit May we be catalysis for the soul. Let us give and hold space in the ebb and flow, in the coming and going in the guiding and reframing, in the tears and the joys Let us give and hold space for each other in ascending and descending, in birthing and in dying in the loving and in the suffering, in the building and in the breaking, between who we are and what we will be between all duality in the wild unfettered wholeness. Let us let go, unattaching and disentangling ourselves, our pasts and our futures falling off us like old tattered garments as enter this liminal space Let us give and hold space in the in-between In the here and now, On the threshold of time and eternity, Let us give and hold space with our Presence for each other's souls.
